Virb bringing false hope to tech quarter ?
The point of this article is to address just what kind of impact Virb can have on the mainstream. Myspace has become a daily part of life for so many of its users that it is hard to imagine them switching to a new system and rebuilding their friends and contacts as well as countless other tidbits from their profiles just for the sake of a administration panel that is better looking. And this is what it all boils down too.
Virb looks great but are you really trying to pull in the mainstream crowd by saying look ! we do nothing innovative or new but hey it looks good ! In my researching the competition article I wrote about finding a hook i.e. something that would make one or thousands of users switch from a similar product or service. Will Virb’s hook of a fresh new design be enough ? I’m not sure and that is what will be the most interesting thing to watch …
