Google Referals

“Don’t put all your eggs in Google’s basket” . If I had a cent for every time I had heard that I’d have roughly 20 cents (which is a lot higher than the average CPC). That frustration regarding average CPC aside which is definitely another post for another day it seems Google are trying to [...]

Two blogs I frequent for two very different reasons and two different people with very different levels of success although can be both considered successful in the broad sense of the word. Tyler Cruz and Chris Aspen.

The ones that get away …

Its a tough game this web publishing lark. Every now and then it is necessary to sell a few sites that aren’t keeping your attention or faltering and move on to pastures new. I always like to keep an eye on the sites that I sell as I find it interesting to see where they [...]

Ask.com launching their own CPC network ??

Well this rumour has been doing the rounds of the last few days. I have been in a quandry over whether or not to post up about it in anticipation that it may be a fake. I say this because I am yet to see an official release from ask themselves. But looking at my [...]

Well the last few weeks maybe even months havn’t been so kind to allcreatives, what started as a revamp has turned into a massive headache. CMS issues aside the site has been trimmed down a lot. Why ? Well there are a few reasons the main one being time.

Virb bringing false hope to tech quarter ?

I’ve been really interested by the new social networking site virb.com every since I first heard about it. It is interesting to see if something that is aesthetically pleasing can make up an market share something (myspace) that for the most part is not. When allcreatives was first getting up and running I wrote about the importance of information design . This article would apply here somewhat if it was not for the loyal user base that Myspace already holds. If Virb and Myspace were starting from scratch then we may have a different comparison to make between the two and arguably virb would get the better share of users hands down. It may be fair to say even that virb wouldn’t be around if myspace hadn’t exploded like it did.

The dollar VS The pound, any solutions ?

As the American Dollar becomes weaker and weaker against the English pound what is an English publisher based in the UK and living day to day as well as business using Pound sterling to do ? It is a topic I have pondered a fair few times over the last few weeks and as yet I am yet to make my mind up.

Turning a free CSS/XHTML design into a wordpress theme. Prt. 1

Just recently I posted up about Wordpress and how impressed I was with the power of the system not only for blogging but for a full CMS. I now use wordpress on a regular basis for a lot of sites I create. Striving to quicken up my development I have turned to using free css/xhtml designs and implementing them into wordpress. In this three part write up I will guide you through implementing a free CSS/XHTML layout into wordpress and getting it running perfectly. Part One lays out how you create the basic frame of the site from someone else’ code.
