You see the iphone isn’t going to be released in UK until the end of this year whereas the US release will be alot sooner. This means if you invest some time in targeting the UK release of the phone now you may be able to turn over a nice little profit.
It dosn’t have to be .co.uk .com is preferably as always but get a domain that have uk in it. For example BUYIPHONEUK.COM is currently available as of writing this article.
Get the web site up and running right now ! Build links and get your seo in order. You probably won’t have an exact seo strategy until nearer the time of release but get your site out there now and let the major search index you. Time is on your side here.
Exchange links, get on any directory you can and build a nice pagerank. Once again time is on your side.
Well all you content will be the same as the US version of the phone except for the all important affiliate links. In the meantime monetize with adsense or yahoo.
No doubt you will have to keep one eye on the site and chances are thing won’t pick-up until the phone is unveiled on the UK shores but as long as you have everything above in order you should be onto a nice little earner.
People will no doubt still be searching now for UK iphone news, make sure you keep the site update and relevant to any news announcements.
This article is quite brief, for more information on building nice web sites see this great article here
Upon looking further I realised that the site’s traffic stats and adsense impressions were incorrect ie. didn’t relate. Now I’m not saying that a web sites stat package and the google adsense numbers should add up automatically but this was way out. I’m talking adsense impressions that were five times tha amount of the traffic stats.
Now you would have thought that I or the numerous bidders would have spotted this outright but you would be wrong there was quite a race to snap this site up and I felt lucky to get it at all. Not one bidder raised an eyebrow about the adsense impressions being 5 times that of the sites actual visits including myself.
I actually had to ask the seller for a breakdown of the adsense numbers and the traffic numbers seperatley and quickly came to the conclusion that something wasn’t right. So too did the seller and apologised for the mix-up stating that he had mixed up his chanels and the stats were wrong. Whether he knew this prior to the auction and was trying to pull a fast one is a mystery but the site went back up for auction and fetched less than $300 as it was actually earning a mere $45 per month.
Still wasn’t a bad investment and I even had a second crack at it but to no avail.
The moral of this story is, stay on the ball and make sure that you don’t become a victim of a mixed-up channel. Some sellers do it accidentally but there will always be the one that does it on purpose and leaves you out of pocket.
